For about 10 years
now, I have been actively in-line skating. What began as midnight runs through parking garages and roller hockey on
hijacked parking lots has, over the years, become a way to stay in shape - largely through trail skating. But sadly, the
only thrill in trail skating is in terrorizing those chatty “walkers” and whizzing past obstacles of children wobbling
around on their bicycles. Today, you may see me flying past you on the Los Gatos Creek Trail in San Jose,
California. “On your left!” |

Off-Roading

Last August, I
suffered from a bout of depression to which the only cure was to purchase the most carefree of cars, the sunniest of
SUVs, the jauntiest of jeeps – a 2001 Wrangler. Need I say more? This is undoubtedly the best way to explore the Bay Area and all its hidden treasures. While I have only been on one off-road excursion, I have fallen in love with climbing up hills, meandering through rocky terrain, and forcing my jeep over any obstacle in my way. I look forward to may more dirt-filled getaways. |

Digital Photography

New
technology often brings new hobbies. Perhaps the most creative edition
to my stream of interests is the digital camera. After pursuing a long
time, back-of-my-mind interest in computer graphics, (that most likely
stems from a heritage of visual artists and a personal background in the
performing arts and combined with no formal training in drawing, whatsoever)
I discovered that with digital photography and computer manipulation,
I could realize images in my mind that could not be expressed with movement
or by my hand. While I am aware of my novice as a graphic artist, I am
inspired and fulfilled nonetheless. |
